Following a report of drink driving, a Cornelly men has been arrested for a drink drive offence. Your local Neighbourhood Policing Officers made a search for the male and his vehicle, following the report and as a result of our efforts, he was caught and arrested. He blew 124/35 at the roadside and then 126 in custody. Almost 4 times the limit! It transpired that the male had driven from Heol y Cyw, into Kenfig Hill, then Cornelly and then back into Heol y Cyw. He was stopped by traffic units in Brynmenyn. He has since been charged with the offence. Once again, great work by a local resident in reporting this. Drink Driving is a very a serious and dangerous offence. There is no room for them on our roads. If you know of anyone who drives after drink, or even anyone who drives when they should'nt, please report it to us. Your assistance is vital. This driver is now waiting for a court date, facing a potential ban from the road, whilst also potentially losing his job. Let's be honest, for what?! If you have any information regarding such matters, please contact us via 101, the SWP website, or just give me a call directly. Thank you, Richard - 07805 301506. |
