Violence against women and girls

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) is a critical global issue that affects millions of individuals, with profound impacts on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It includes a broad range of harmful behaviours, from physical and sexual violence to emotional abuse, stalking, and harmful traditional practices like child marriage or female genital mutilation (FGM).

VAWG is deeply rooted in gender inequality, social norms, and power dynamics. It's not just a personal issue but also a societal one that requires collective efforts to address, including legal reform, education, awareness campaigns, and support systems for survivors.

I will be at Melin Advice Centre on Thursday 22nd May at 11:00 - 12:00.

Please feel free to attend a safe space to report any issues on the above matter.
