Thank you for responding to our survey.

We have been working hard in Gorseinon targeting the sale of goods to underage.

Neighbourhood officers worked alongside Trading Standards in Gorseinon this week to carry out test purchasing around illegal sale of knives and bladed articles – in line with Op Sceptre/knife crime week.

Out of all the shops visited most complied with their obligations and showed they had clear understanding of their responsibility in accordance with their legislation however one premises was found to have breached their responsibilities and as a result appropriate action will be taken. 

There will be further joint work in and around the area, to ensure the safeguarding young persons and the widder community. 

‘Knife related crime can pose serious dangers within our communities, carrying or using a knife can lead to devastating consequences, by carrying out these types of operations it allows us to understand the availability and accessibility around weapons which helps us to be able to prevent, deter, protect and educate those involved’

Rydym wedi bod yn gweithio'n galed yn Gorseinon yn targedu gwerthu nwyddau i rai dan oed.

Bu swyddogion cymdogaeth yn gweithio ochr yn ochr â Safonau Masnach yng Ngorseinon yr wythnos hon i gynnal prawf prynu o amgylch gwerthu cyllyll ac eitemau llafn yn anghyfreithlon - yn unol ag wythnos Op Sceptre/troseddau cyllyll.

O'r holl siopau yr ymwelwyd â hwy, roedd y rhan fwyaf yn cydymffurfio â'u rhwymedigaethau ac yn dangos bod ganddynt ddealltwriaeth glir o'u cyfrifoldeb yn unol â'u deddfwriaeth, ond canfuwyd bod un safle wedi torri ei gyfrifoldebau ac o ganlyniad bydd camau priodol yn cael eu cymryd. Bydd rhagor o waith ar y cyd yn yr ardal ac o'i chwmpas, i sicrhau diogelu pobl ifanc a'r gymuned ehangach.
