You Said, We did - Drugs

Hello Resident

Thank you for responding to our survey.

We are working hard to tackle drugs in Port Talbot

Following multiple reports of a strong smell of cannabis coming from a property in the Oakwood Place area of Port Talbot, officers have attended an address due to concerns raised and discovered a cannabis cultivation at the address.

No persons were discovered at the address but evidence has been gathered by our CSI team to potentially identified those involved.

Approximately 60 mature plants have been recovered from the property for evidence and destruction. Partnership working alongside neighbouring sectors and National Grid was utilised in making the property safe.

We will continue to carry out these investigations and positive actions on information passed from both the community and partnership agencies.

Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.

If you are experiencing similar issues or have any concerns about it, or other community safety issues, you should contact your local council or report this to us online. In an emergency, if you or your property are at risk, or a crime is in progress call 999.

Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response?

You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
