Joint vehicle Operation

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Port Talbot NPT have today conducted a joint partnership operation in the Port Talbot area. Working alongside Council Waster Enforcement and National Resources Wales we have conducted stop searches on waste carrier vehicles in the area.
A number of vehicles have been assesed where vehicle road worthy tests have been conducted, documents checked to be up to date, waste carry licences confirmed and general driver licence checks conducted.

These joint operations are to make sure that legal waste carries are operating in the area within their allocated paperwork and to identify any bogus waste carriers or uninsured vehicle.

We will continue to work hard alongside our local partnerships to combat ongoing local issues.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.south-wales.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
