Suspicious Behaviour/ Roofing Scam

Hello 

 To make you aware  in the Birchgrove area. Recent reports by members of the public agreeing to minor works to a roof or house , and after inspection the price has gone up drastically and they have then been taken to their bank by the so called builders involved to withdraw the money in cash. 

Just remember if you need building works of any kind carried out find trusted companies , preferably with good revues, personal recommendations are even better. 

Obtain a number of quotes for the work, ideally at least three, with clear wording as to which works are to be carried out and an obvious price for the work. 

If someone simply knocks your door to say that your roof needs work , don't take this at face value and as stated earlier always get a second opinion and a few quotes for any works required. 

If you suspect suspicious behaviour always report to the Police
