THEFT FROM VEHICLE INCIDENTS

Dear resident,

We have been made aware of a spate of THEFT FROM VEHICLE INCIDENTS across the ST THOMAS and PORT TENNANT area over the last couple of days.

It appears an individual has been trying car door handles, entering vehicles and removing items from inside before moving on.

PLEASE BE ADVISED TO REMOVE ALL VALUABLES FROM YOUR VEHICLES!!

DO NOT CHANCE LEAVING PERSONAL OR VALUABLE ITEMS WITHIN YOUR VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH IT IS KEPT LOCKED!

Please remember:

LOCK ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS

REMOVE ALL VALUABLES

SET/INSTALL AN ALARM TO DETER THIEVES

PARK IN A WELL LIT AREA WHERE POSSIBLE

CCTV IS CRUCIAL FOR ACTING AS A DETERRENT OR CAPTURING ANY EVIDENTIAL FOOTAGE IF REQUIRED

IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF THEFT, PLEASE REPORT THIS TO SOUTH WALES POLICE.

YOU CAN DO THIS VIA 101 / ONLINE REPORTING TOOL / 999 IN AN EMERGENCY.

Your local Neighbourhood Team will be out and about this week conducting enquiries and being a high visibility presence in the area. Please do come and chat with us if you see us on patrol :)

Furthermore, we do have signage available to hang from your rear view mirror stating that all valuables have been removed from your vehicle. This can act as a deterrent as well as a reminder! Should you wish to have one, please contact your local PCSOs as below:
